Coronado is a beach town located on the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica. The town is in the souther part of the Pacific near the town of Ojochal, . The destination has views of beautiful mountains, the Coronado River and off course the Pacific Ocean.
From this town you may visit some of the most wonderful beaches of Costa Rica. Among the beaches you may visit are Playa Ventanas, called Windows Beach due to a series of caves carved into the coastal cliffs. You may also visit Playa Tortuga, Playa Piñuela, Playa Ballena. In nearby Playa Uvita, you can walk to a rock formation named the Whale’s Tail during low tide.
Another major attraction near town is the Marino Ballena National Park where you can be impressed by marine wildlife. During migration season you can spot species like turtles, bottlenose dolphins and humpback whales. You may also be able to see other species such as melon-headed whales and sperm whales.
