Downstairs serves 2 important purposes. One 320 sq. foot container serves as the bodega including: washer/dryer, large workman’s sink, tool shelves and entry ramps built for ATV or full vehicle storage. For snowbirds, you can lock up everything including your car for weeks on end. This bodega has a custom built padlock box impenetrable by bolt cutters. The other 320 sq. foot air-conditioned container houses your private entry guest suite. Glass sliding doors enter into a unit with 2 extended single beds and a full size bathroom, all with jungle views.
The property was landscaped professionally by celebrated group Pro Verde and includes many fruit trees, geo tech cloth under all the gravel walkways and covered garage to prevent weeds. A pool could easily be added in one of 2 areas. Irrigation system has also been set up with a large storage tank that captures the rains from the roof and either feeds the plants or conveniently drains the water off the side of the property to ensure proper drainage in the rainy season. Drainage was also professionally handled by Pro Verde.
Finally, a very important safety feature. With the large concrete foundation blocks and master welded steel frame, the entire house is top level earthquake proof. The recent 6.7 in the area had no impact on the structure.
Strong wifi is currently set-up at $23/month for work-from-home owners or for guests streaming movies and tv shows. Cable is also available from the same company. Electrical and Water (double-filtered) bills are also quite low with no HOA.
