My name is Mauricio Umaña Calvo, I was born and raised in Jaco, Costa Rica. Coming from a big family in a small town like Jaco, I was fortunate to get into the Costa Rican national surf team in my 20s. I was traveling the world with my surfboard and working in the “endless summer surf camp” in California, where I learned English and got to know the North American work culture. After 10 years of traveling the world, I returned to my beautiful Costa Rica and got settled with my German wife, Magdalena, and two dogs. With my deep roots in Jacó and the area around, I have a lot of good connections in our community and can find you the right person to solve any problem in no time! With my travel background and open Tico heart, I love to meet new people and build strong relationships all around the world. I’m excited to show you my country, especially the Jaco area, with its beautiful places where you will find your dream house. Mi nombre es Mauricio Umaña Calvo, nací y crecí en Jaco Costa Rica. Viniendo de una gran familia en un pequeño pueblo como Jaco, tuve la suerte de entrar en el equipo nacional de surf de Costa Rica cuando tenía 20 años. Viajaba por el mundo con mi tabla de surf y trabajaba en el “campamento de surf en el verano” en California, donde aprendí inglés y conocí la cultura laboral norteamericana. Después de 10 años de viajar por el mundo, regresé a mi hermosa Costa Rica, me instalé con mi esposa alemana Magdalena y dos perros. Con mis profundas raíces en Jacó y sus alrededores, tengo muy  buenas conexiones en nuestra comunidad y puedo encontrarle a la persona adecuada para resolver cualquier problema, ¡en poco tiempo! Con mi experiencia en viajes y mi corazón tico abierto, me encanta conocer gente nueva y construir relaciones sólidas en todo el mundo.
