I’m Shawn Fletcher, and I am co-owner of the RE/MAX Costa Rica master franchise and the broker-owner of the RE/MAX Oceanside office. Jaco beachfront condos are my area of expertise, where I have been working with buyers and sellers of exclusive beachfront condominiums since 2005.

I first traveled to Costa Rica on a surf trip in 2004, where I immediately fell in love with the beautiful landscape, the warm-hearted people and, of course, the great surfing.  After my 2-month vacation, I sold my house in Southern California and moved to Costa Rica just one month later. I met my wife Hannah in Jaco Beach, and we are now raising our two children here in Paradise. All of our family enjoys surfing, and the saying is true that a family that surfs together stays together! I’m also addicted to mountain biking on the picturesque trails around the country.

When I lived in California, I became a loan officer after graduating from UCLA, and I also had a real estate license that I used to buy and sell properties. Therefore, when I moved to Costa Rica, it was a natural progression to dive into real estate.  I have experience in building, renovating, and segregating farms, and I own residential and commercial real estate, so I have a vested interest in the community. I have also been featured on episodes of “International House Hunters” and “Beach Front Bargain Hunt.”
